Hibiscus is the petals of the Sudanese rose, a variety of hibiscus. The petals are harvested in spring and summer in the provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Yunnan and Sichuan. It has a fruity, sour aroma and a slightly astringent taste with a refreshing aftertaste reminiscent of red currants.

How to brew:
Infuse or pour over in glass or porcelain ware.
Pour 80°C water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried petals and steep for 30 seconds to several minutes.

Hibiscus tea brews well in cold water, which is suitable for summer heat and lowering blood pressure.
