Pu Erh
Pu Erh is a post-fermented tea that originates from Yunnan Province in China. It is unique in that its taste and quality improve over time, rather than deteriorating like other types of tea.
There are two main types of Pu Erh: Sheng (raw) and Shu (ripe), each with its own flavour and aroma characteristics and brewing nuances. The taste of Pu Erh changes over time: young Sheng Pu Erh can have a floral-honey aroma and a tart taste, but over time it becomes softer and sweeter, with fruity and woody notes. Shu Pu Erh has a richer, earthier and woodier taste.
Pu Erh is considered beneficial for digestion, can help lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and also promotes weight loss.
