Yunnan Oolong
Yunnan oolong tea grows on volcanic soils in Baoshan County, Yunnan Province. Thanks to the unique climate and composition of the volcanic soil, the tea has a unique taste and aroma.
Yunnan oolong has a refreshing taste with grassy, confectionery, spicy and floral notes. Hints of liquorice, basil, chrysanthemum, vanilla, maple syrup and apple juice can be detected. The aftertaste is mentholated and sweet, with notes of honey, chocolate, or dried fruit.
How to brew:
1. Place 3-4 grams of tea per 100 ml of water in a well-heated gaiwan.
2. Pour in hot water at 80-95°C and discard the first infusion.
3. Make the next pour short, about 5 seconds. For subsequent pours, increase the exposure time by 2-3 seconds.
