Aged Te Guan Yin, harvested in Anxi County in 2017. After processing, the tea matures in special clay pots, preserving its traditional notes.
The leaves are twisted into medium-sized knots, and the tea is ash green and brown in colour. The aroma of dry tea is bright, floral and spicy, with pronounced bread notes.
The infusion is golden yellow in colour and transparent. The taste of the finished tea is multifaceted, oily, woody and floral, with notes of berries, spices and nuts. There are hints of wildflowers and oriental spices. It has a long, enveloping, lingering aftertaste.
This is a selfish tea: it is best enjoyed during quiet, peaceful tea parties, far away from noisy company. It fills you with energy, brings harmony to your mind and body, warms you up and improves your mood.
