The medicinal properties of chaga were known as early as the 16th-17th centuries; it contains biologically active substances that have tonic, restorative, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Birch fungus was used to treat diseases of the stomach and intestines, liver and kidneys, lung cancer, diseases of the male and female reproductive organs, boils, and sore joints were rubbed with decoctions of herbs with chaga. In the Far East, chaga infusion and decoction are drunk instead of the usual black or green tea — doctors note that cancer is less common in these regions. Today, chaga is used in scientific and traditional medicine to treat cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and as a general tonic.

Preparation and use:

Pour 1-2 teaspoons of raw material with 1 cup (200 ml) of boiling water, steep for 30-35 minutes.

Dosage: Adults take half a cup (100 ml) twice a day with meals. Duration of treatment is 1.5-2 months. The interval between courses is 10-20 days.
