Aged and pressed into a tea cake, Shaw Mei tea looks very colourful. In addition to white and black, the palette of this tea includes all shades of green and brown. When warmed by the breath, the dry leaf gives off the aroma of heather honey, birch broom and dried wildflower inflorescences.
The infusion is clear and light, green-golden in colour. The flavour is very delicate and soft, enveloping the mouth and stretching deep into the throat. Light sweetness of honey, hay, Chinese dates is intertwined with subtle acidity of rose and mint.
The tea is excellent for relieving tension and fatigue, slowing down and relaxing, quenching thirst and bringing peace.
