Porcelain

A porcelain teapot is considered universal: it does not absorb odors, so it is enough to brew different types of tea. Porcelain gives off heat quite quickly, so it is ideal for delicate green, white and oolong teas. When brewing Shu Pu Erh or highly fermented oolongs in porcelain, you must carefully monitor the temperature.

Recommendations for caring for a teapot:

1. Wash porcelain ware by hand with a soft sponge and non-abrasive cleaning agents.

2. Tea stains can be removed with soda. Add a few drops of water to the powder, apply the paste to the stain and gently wipe. If your teapot has a painting, do not rub it with soda.

3. Porcelain is very fragile, so it requires careful handling. Do not heat a porcelain teapot on the stove or an open fire.
