Yixing clay

Yixing clay is one of the most famous teapot materials in China. It is mined in the Yixing region of Jiangsu Province and has been used for brewing tea for centuries. The uniqueness of this clay is in its structure: it contains many small pores that allow the teapot to breathe and open up naturally.

Yixing teapots are able to adapt to tea, preserving its taste and aroma. Over time, the surface is saturated with oils, and the teapot begins to enhance the depth of taste of each infusion.

Yixing clay heats up slowly and cools down just as slowly. Tea in such a teapot does not lose heat abruptly, but opens up smoothly, without temperature jumps, evenly. The temperature regime of the clay teapot allows you to deliciously brew Shu and aged Sheng Pu Erh, red teas, hei cha.

Care recommendations:
1. Wash the teapot by hand without any cleaning agents! Porous clay absorbs odors very well, so rinse the teapot with clean water only, so as not to drink tea with the aroma of Fairy.
2. Do not leave used leaves in the teapot for a long time. After drinking tea, remove the tea, rinse the teapot with warm water and wipe it with a soft tea towel. Leave to dry with the lid open.
3. Use the teapot for one type of tea, so as not to distort the taste and aroma of the drink.
