Tea grown on the volcanic soil of Phoenix's main mountain peak, Wudong.
Beautiful, dark brown, longitudinally twisted leaves with yellow stems. When warmed by breath, a very rich aroma of flowers and fruits is noticeable.
The infusion is golden in colour with a more complex aroma. The taste is sweet, with notes of apricot, saffron, jasmine, pear, raisins and almond biscuits, with a slight sourness of bay leaf, basil, mandarin zest and a hint of chamomile. When brewed strong, there is a tartness and bitter notes of eucalyptus and tree resin. The aftertaste is long, slightly drying, sweet with bitterness, noticeable grapefruit and mineral saltiness. The tea leaves are beautiful, large and uniform.
A feeling of renewed strength and active energy. Warms the body and focuses the mind, putting you in a positive mood.
