Bound tea

Bound tea, blooming tea, tea flower is a bud of tea leaves (usually green), inside of which are fragrant flowers. When brewed, the leaves and flowers bloom, creating a beautiful composition.

Bound tea is made by hand from the top tea leaves with buds that have gone through the stage of withering, twisting, and drying. Masters carefully collect the leaves in a bunch, and place a dried flower of chrysanthemum, peony, jasmine, osmanthus inside. To prevent the composition from falling apart, it is tied with a silk thread, after which it is sent to dry.

How to brew:

Use glassware to enjoy the beauty of a blossoming flower.

1. Pour hot water (80-90°C) into a well-heated 500 ml teapot and carefully place the ball there. Do not pour water on the ball itself — this may damage the composition.

2. Close the teapot with a lid and leave for 3-4 minutes. This time is enough for the flower to open, and the infusion to be of the desired strength.

3. After the bud has fully opened, the infusion can be drunk.

One ball can be brewed up to 4 times, increasing the infusion time by 3 minutes.
