Chaban (tea board)
A chaban is a table or tray on which all the items needed for a tea ceremony are placed. It consists of a board, a plastic tray or a tube for draining liquid. Makes tea drinking much easier, making the ceremony clean and pleasant.
The chabani can be made of different materials. The most common are chabans made of bamboo, wood, stone, plastic and combinations of these.
Care of the chaban.
Tables made of bamboo should be wiped down thoroughly after use. In order that the joints of the parts of the chabani do not dry out, at least once a week use it for its intended purpose.
Wooden chabanis are stronger and more reliable than bamboo ones, and care for them is the same.
A chaban made of stone is practically eternal and can be handed down from generation to generation. No special care is needed: it is enough to wipe it with a dry cloth after tea drinking, and tea marks can be easily wiped off with baking soda.
